Gay Spirit Camp

Gay Spirit Camp is a time of celebration, growth and community for men who love men.

Rekindle your gay spirit in the splendor of Easton Mountain, as you connect with nature, yourself and a community of friends old and new. This six-day gathering will be jam packed with a variety of workshops and events including gay spirituality, yoga, meditation, massage, creativity, erotic healing, nature walks, saunas, body painting, movement and dance, dating and romance, talent show, an evening fire ritual, small group sharing, dances, karaoke, and much, much more. You will experience the freedom to participate in as many or as few activities as you would like with the safety to explore your personal growing edge. Gay Spirit Camp offers men a chance to establish lasting friendships within a community of sacred brothers.

About the Facilitators

Picture of James Philip James Philip,a Scot based in London, is an inspirational teacher, channeller, medium and spiritual healer. founder of Celestial Earth offering classes workshops and individual coaching in psychic awareness; spiritual healing and consciousness development. James facilitates with enthusiasm, intimacy and humour at many leading venues in the UK and USA including Mind Body Spirit Festivals, London; Triyoga, London; Omega institute, New York; Anam Cara, Scotland; and Findhorn, Scotland.

Jay Michaelson is the author of God vs. Gay? The Religious Case for Equality, as well as three books and two hundred articles on the intersections of religion, spirituality, sexuality, and law. His decade of advocacy for LGBT people in religious communities has been featured in The New York Times, NPR and CNN. He is the founder of Nehirim, the largest national provider of community programming for LGBT Jews, partners, and allies, and teaches frequently for the Human Rights Campaign. Picture of Karl Paulnack Karl Paulnack is an accomplished musician, educator, writer and speaker. He holds leadership roles in a variety of academic, spiritual and musical communities, and is keenly interested in supporting a broad and wide tribe of men-who-love-men, regardless of sexual orientation. Karl's teaching focuses on supporting and nurturing groups and group life. He gives workshops on personal growth and spiritual development, group dynamics, earth and body-based spiritual practices, and conflict resolution. He is a pioneer in the use of non-sexual touch as a form of spiritual support and mentoring, as well as various forms of yogic and shamanic practice.

Weston Edwards is a gay identified psychologist specializing in Chemical Dependency, Sexual Health, and Mental Health Issues. He is the Director of Program Development supervising the sexual health programming at PRIDE Institute, Minnesota. He is also the Clinical Director at the outpatient Mental Health. He has written 3 workbooks on sexual health, sexual compulsivity, and cybersex issues. Weston completed his PHD in counseling psychology from the University of Minnesota. Picture of Lee SternLee Stern, the oldest of four brothers, has been a teacher and guide, singer and poet since his childhood. His experiences with Body Electric, his involvement with Honoring Our Journey (men's spiritual workshops), and his participation and facilitation at Easton Mountain have led him to this moment. His workshops combine structured activity with moments of individual expression. He considers the hand and the voice to be primal instruments (metaphorically and physically) that can take us to magical places; and aspires to combine strength and empathy in his teaching.

Gianantonio Corna Gianantonio Corna is a NYC-based Reiki Master who has studied healing all of his life. He also practices Tibetan naturopathy, cranio-sacral therapy, and pranotherapy—modalities which enhance his Reiki. Picture of Raymond L. Rigoglioso, ACC,Raymond L. Rigoglioso, ACC,, is a certified life coach through the International Coach Federation. As the founder of Gay Men of Wisdom, he coaches gay men to become the full version of who they are by honoring and owning the unique gifts they bring to the world. Ray has an extensive background in nonprofit sector communications and grant writing. He has brought innovative coaching models to the sector, including the first-ever coaching group for development directors, which runs at New York City’s Support Center for Nonprofit Management. Joe Monkman is a shamanic practitioner and teacher. His innovative style assists individuals and organizations around the world in moving beyond habitual distractions, rediscovering powerful tools for clarity and decision-making, and realigning with their passion and purpose. Joe’s interest in the healing arts and a deep desire for personal change led to the start of his spiritual journey in 1990. His quest took him from the Amazon jungle of Peru to the asphalt jungle of New York City. What followed was the creation of ceremonies and workshops that inspire people to live their rich vision.
